NATIONAL BANKRUPTCY REVIEW COMMISSION PAPERS: COLLECTION GUIDE

Note: Where possible (and unless otherwise noted) the materials in this collection are in chronological order.
The collection is organized into nine categories, as follows:
I. CREATION, ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMMISSION. This administrative record group is divided into the following subdivisions:
(A.) Agenda, Ballots, Meeting Transcripts, Minutes, Progress Reports.
(B.) Bylaws, Historical Information, Mission Statements.
(C.) Chairman Mike Synar Illness/Death. (Obituaries, correspondence, and press releases concerning the January 9, 1996 death of Chairman Synar.)
(D.) Commission Updates. (Includes official updates on the progress and activities of the commission.)
(E.) Correspondence Concerning Mail Ballots, Dissent. (Various correspondence between commissioners concerning grievances about the mail ballot process, and dissenting opinions concerning the reports of various working groups.)
(F.) Enclosures. (These are lists of items enclosed in packets sent to Commission members. The materials listed include items representing most of the categories of information found in the collection. NOTE: Many of the items listed in the enclosures lists are available in the collection, but some were lost or misplaced before the collection was deposited. The Special Collections Department maintains a checklist of available enclosures.)
(G.) Final Report Preparation. (Correspondence and updates concerning the production and timetable of the final report.)
(H.) Fiscal. (Various correspondence and reports concerning the budget and funding of the commission.)
(I.) General Information. (Miscellaneous administrative material.)
(J.) Jeffery Hartley Travel File. (This file consists of travel information pertaining to Commissioner Hartley.)
